For anyone who was wondering why they can't place an advance order for the dvd right now, I was informed by Chris at Kaleidoscope that it will go on sale again once stock arrives.

I just ordered a copy. Thanks for the photo. I had imagined Tony's drawings were in black-and-white, wow they're colored!

I wonder if any of Tony's orignal drawings survived the decades?
I'm so glad this is released now. I'm getting a copy for sure.
I know a member of the team who worked on it so I can tell you it's been a journey and then some for those guys.
I'm really happy for them that they managed to pull this off at all, never mind it being late or whatnot.
They're a tiny company working for pop music's most underrated band ever.
It could have taken so much longer!

Do we have to re-order it if we pre-ordered it before they stopped taking pre-orders? I’ve paid for a copy but haven’t received one yet.

I emailed Chris on the day of stock arriving, to ask when my order would be shipping and he told me they were getting out orders on Friday, (the 27th) so they should start showing up any day now for those who live close by. I spent some extra $$ just to have my order expedited, as I live in the States and I can't see waiting 6 weeks for arrival, maybe a couple at the most. I thought they would have assigned tracking numbers so that we might have an idea of where things are in transit, but that's not how they operate. I know I'd feel better with that knowledge on hand.

The Walker Brothers did a one-off tour in Japan in 1968 and they were absolutely huge there. Their performance at Osaka Festival Hall in January 1968 was recorded and released as a lavish two LP set with booklet in 1968 on Philips records but only in Japan. It wouldn't be released in the UK until 1987, and I think it was edited down to one LP. The Walker Brothers were pretty much over with by that point in early 1968, Scott Walker had become a successful solo star, so I believe those Japanese concerts were their last in the 1960s. It's a bit of a strange recording, it sounds very thin as they've got a small orchestra with them and most of the setlist is more in line with their earliest recordings rather than the big lavishly orchestrated ballads that they'd become famous for. One of my favorite listens. A well-paced set featuring each member alternating singing lead, but of course highlighting the magnificent voice of Scott Walker.

With due respect to Gary and John, I have to admit whenever I listen to the Walkers' albums, I skip their tracks and hone in on the Scott ones and as for that quartet of Scott's first solo albums... they get played heavily around here! Magnificent singer, the one guy I wish I could sound like. Heck... I feel a visit to Montague Terrace coming on...

Allan's son said that Would you Believe was written with Scott Walker in mind, and Allan himself made a radio documentary about him for radio 2 here. His admiration was obvious.

Unfortunately there seems to be a pattern of this unresponsiveness, as I've read of the same thing on other forums, where customers are left hanging without any information and still waiting for their orders to arrive months later. The lack of transparency is troubling.

The lack of transparency is troubling. I had dealings with Chris and Kaleidoscope a few years ago when they did a successful Kickstarter campaign. I heard absolutely nothing from them for what felt like a long time and ended up having to chase up Chris personally before I finally received my discs so this is far from unusual for them.

Personally, I would have been happy with the option of a digital download copy of the disc. Especially, as one could transfer the file through a zip folder without any loss in quality. Beats waiting indefinitely and would save a lot of frustration on both sides I would think. Idk.

Has anyone received their copy yet? It's been over two weeks since they were allegedly sent out, and the website is showing them as being in stock.

I'm sure the product will be great, but their customer service is appalling! Still waiting here too. My orders supposedly shipped out on the 27th. When I asked if they could track the progress of my shipment, they had nothing to offer in the way of information. All he could tell was "it has gone." Couldn't elaborate specifically as to where or how long it might be. I'm starting to doubt anything was sent out. Surely, someone on these forums would have received a copy by now.

I ordered the "Ready Steady Go" DVD set by them, orders began shipping out the last week of Sept. Still haven't received mine, sent "Chris" 2 emails, he's not much help other than "they've been sent out". Someone in another forum stated he was sending them out in "batches". They supposedly made 800 copies of these RSG sets, I guess my batch (me being in the USA) might be the last one shipped, ugh. Others in the UK have received theirs though...

I got my RSG set eventually (and it's great), but 2-3 weeks after several other people.
