A good list, though must confess it's been a while since I've played some of those. I've often thought that Billy J. Kramer with The Dakotas and Adam Faith and The Roulettes were very similar, in that they were both mediocre but distinctive and good looking singers, combined with first-rate songs and a great backing band.
Fancy choosing your favourite DC5 tracks?

Fancy choosing your favourite DC5 tracks? I was DJing at a ‘60s club in Los Angeles. I played the fierce rocker “Sneaking Around” and one of the other DJs told me “Man, you have made me change my mind about Billy J. Kramer”. He mentioned The T. A. M. I. show and I said “He had those wonderful Lennon/ McCartney songs to sing”. Adam Faith & The Roulettes were great . “It’s Alright”, their best track, was a U.S., Canadian, & Australian hit. “Talk About Love” and “I Don’t Need that kind of loving” were also Chris Andrews-written songs, and equally fine. I’m a huge fan of Chris Andrews’ hit “Yesterday Man”, and of course “Girl Don’t Come” written for Sandie Shaw. I may take on The DC5. I’ll have to ponder which one is my favorite track.

Both "It's Alright" and the followup, "Talk About Love" when to #2 in Canada. Completely different than Faith's more poppy UK hits.

Adam's biggest UK hit with The Roulettes could easily be mistaken for Billy K. Kramer with The Dakotas:
Must confess though, those Pop hits have long been my "guilty listening"... this song (a UK B-side) is almost certainly in my top ten all time favourite records by anyone:

I've always really liked their version of When You Walk In The Room. It's my go to version since hearing it. Billy's voice has a certain edge to it.
I'd never really seek them out as a band but I like any track of theirs I hear.

How about The Dakotas? Given the proper song, they Rock it up like mad. “Sneaking Around” is my #1 for that reason. Great band.
