A friend (a professional singer) showed this to me yesterday and I couldn't get through it. It's kind of like the endless polls and ranking and voting that I see on social media...I just want to enjoy the music and have all the feels, not quantify it and analyze it.
Yeah, I know I'm probably a party pooper but...Allan's voice is to be savoured, not picked apart.

What a fantastic Analysis. It is good to sometimes get another perspective. The presenter explains it perfectly. Imagine that being a recording of today and autotune being used. The song would have no emotion and Alan's voice is full of emotion.

I thought the exact same thing Dude. Would have been interesting to hear how "fixing it" would ruin it. I enjoyed the video and I guess it supports Alan Parson's remark about Allan often being flat. I don't have the pitch to hear it.

As you guys say, it would have been nice to have it run through auto tune to compare. I haven't watched any of his other you tube vaocal analysis stuff but no doubt he hasn't used auto tune in any of the videos for comparison. I don't have pitch either to know any better and I bet most of the recordings from the 60,70 & 80 before auto tune would not have improved the recording. Emotion is a big part of presentation in singing. Alan has heaps of that. Also the presenter spoke well of Allan's abilities.
