I have the 24â x 24â Epic records promo poster of the cover of âDistant Lightâ in a green frame which hangs above the 1974 Epic records promo poster (same size) for âHolliesâ in a blue frame on my bedroom wall. Iâm fine with them, especially since they are both impossible to get now.

Your comment does nothing for me. âThereâs none so blind as those who will not seeâ. I'd rather have a Headroom cover. That flop of an album? Give me a break. It didnât even get a US release! Besides, the cover Art is downright grotesque. That Salvador Dali type of imagery is disturbing. Good luck in getting a lithograph of that ugly thing! Honestly some of you Britsâ taste is all your mouths.

And if we rank album quality by chart success in your country, you must loathe most Hollies' albums except for Hollies Sing Dylan (or whatever you Americans call it).

Explain to us why you prefer the surrealistic junk cover of Headroom over the beautiful painting adorning Distant Light. Letâs hear it. So Headroom is an album to be admired and enjoyed over Distant Light is it? Tell us why. You have not given a reason for your opinion. Really, the attitude of some of you on this board is mind-boggling. Nasty, curt, and ill-informed to boot. As you can doubt tell, I have zero patience for such nonsense. A board like this should only have fans who know what theyâre talking about. Obviously this board doesnât. . FYI: The Hollies had 4 albums that reached The US Top 40; Greatest Hits, He Ainât Heavy, Distant Light, and Hollies 74, reaching #11, #32, #20 (Cashbox magazine; #21 Billboard) and #28 respectively. All 4 albums went Gold. âHeadroomâ wasnât released in Canada or Holland either. It was such a dud that Clarkeâs 3rd LP was only released in England. No other country would touch it.

If that was true then how did I buy Headroom shortly after its release, in a Dutch record shop in my hometown of Haarlem, NL? And the same goes for the third album? It's obvious to me that you loathe Allan Clarke, I'm assuming for returning and replacing Mikael Rickfors, who was dropped by Tony Hicks cs., not Allan.
