I came across this old photo whilst looking through my Hollies memorabilia so I thought it's an appropriate time to wish everyone on this forum a Happy Christmas!

Hi All - happy new year to everyone who lurks on this site. What will 2023 bring? Hopefully the new Clarke(/Nash) solo album, a Rarities package (??) - I’ll ask Ron F if he has further updates and plans here, and more involvement from yours truly on contributions here. I truly need to find the time to pull my finger out more. I do have plans for something this year. While the 60th anniversary of The Hollies’ first gig passed quietly by in the past 6 weeks - there remains conjecture on the EXACT date of the first time The Hollies went on stage as a collective under this moniker in late 1962 - we do have several significant 60th anniversaries this year inc first recording, first release, first TV appearance and first BBC radio session. I hope this can be a big Hollies year archivally speaking. I see that the band are playing on one of those 70s boat cruise package tours leaving from Miami in March 2023. As I’ve not kept up on recent tour happenings, is this their first set of shows in ages? The line up of other acts scheduled aboard is a little eye raising - the Bay City Rollers - who’s alive and still going in that band? Don Felder of The Eagles solo? www.theholliesofficial.com/news/rockromancecruiseAnd who is running TheHollies.com (official) Facebook page these days? There’s a quote on there from Bobby from Nov 2022 where he says while his legs and arms keep going, he’ll never stop playing. “Elliot” is given as his surname which suggests that Rob Haywood is no longer running that show because I can’t imagine, given his devotion and commitment to the band, he would let that howler stay up there. Fingers crossed for the Clarke/Nash release! Hope everyone had a great festive season. Best wishes Simon

View Attachment There is a serious sepia tint or printing colour change that UK pop periodical Fabulous - from which this pic derives - must have used because Eric in particular just never had the light brown hair his circa 1964 Fabulous pics would suggest!

"Elliot" is a repeat error. I've counted three times so far. I keep correcting but whomever is running things doesn't engage at all, if they even read it the comments. Much prefer the unofficial pages on Facebook, especially Malc's.

I also think Rob is no longer running the Official website either. It's still showing Christmas greetings from 2021 !!
