Anthony left off Bobby’s drum roll at the end of his YouTube posting of Hollies’ “Long Dark Road” ABC-TV Santa Monica Civic live video. Tsk tsk.

Is it elsewhere? I'm still looking for an entire video of their "Hey Willie" performance.

The best version of 'Hey Willy' I could find was this one - seems a bit edited in places re picture but is the complete song performance in decent picture quality
I think that 'Look Through Any Window' DVD should also have included TV performances of; 'Gasoline Alley Bred', 'Too Young To Be Married', 'Hey Willy', 'The Baby' and 'Curly Billy'even if it meant the interviews were edited down more

The Hollies in Concert, Santa Monica, 1973- approx 16 minutes
Long Dark Road - Carrie Anne - Bus Stop - He Ain't Heavy ...He's My Brother - Long Cool Woman (In A Black Dress)
the show footage is up on youtube on DOJOTONE Channel
although unavoidable it really was unfair and pointless in this line up doing those earlier sixties pop hits when they must have been 'itching' to perform songs from 'Romany' !
a DVD set of: 'Don't Get Sunburnt' 1971 / Hollies Santa Monica concert 1973 / Hollies in Concert 1975 - (Swiss TV Special) would make a great release !
This Swiss TV Concert - approx 26 minutes - includes a rare live version of 'I Can't Tell The Bottom From The Top' tho' hopefully the dubbed 'voiceover' between songs could be removed

ABC-TV obviously wanted the hits for the broadcast. The band had no control over content. They wouldn’t have wanted an edited “Long Cool Woman” I’m certain of that!

Interesting that the live tracks from 'Romany' in that set list were all acoustic flavored songs from the initial track listing....
in retrospect and with easy hindsight it makes you wonder if they had powered out the then new electric tracks such as; 'Slow Down', 'Won't We Feel Good...' (surely an obvious single ?) and 'Courage of Your Convictions' they might have gone down well with the American audience and made the absence of Allan Clarke less of an issue showing they very much had a harder electric rock style
- yes they did rock up 'Long Dark Road' and of course did LCW the two USA chart singles and we know they were doing 'You Know The Score' (another Clarke led track from 'Distant Light') however more of the powering electric rock numbers that Mike Rickfors had sung on album as the newer concert songs might have been a bolder and wiser move for the USA concerts at that time..?
we know Mike hated having to do the older sixties pop hits
Terry's line; 'The Americans wanted Allan but we just didn't sound like that anymore'
...might not have been so applicable had they come across as more of an 'electric guitar led rock band' on that tour possibly...?
...and it might have taken the wind out of the sails of The Raspberries later boasts about them 'blowing The Hollies offstage' too....
