I'm 'attaching' a couple of scans of the Hollies pages from a slim book that was published in 1963. I hope you can see them at full size. I must've done these before my scanner became obsolete. Sadly I have many other similar early Hollies pages in other old books and magazines, a few with Don Rathbone, but no way to share them right now. I may try and make a friend of a gal who scans people photos for a fee and see if she could handle at least the less than tabloid sized stuff. Let me know if any pages have already been posted here, I only did a search for 'Big Beat Boys'. You can probably Google search the colour cover for this book, but I did find a small ad scan for it on a blog...

Here's one of the pages I also have but didn't get around to scanning myself. It's from the Pop Weekly for June 15, 1963. From the blog: beatsixties.blogspot.com

Another Pop Weekly full-pager with Don Rathbone (do you ever slip up and call him Basil?) has them in a line standing at attention in front of a military drill sargeant! I got kind of fascinated with Rathbone when I saw them doing Now's The Time in a compilation of pop group film appearances... he's their Pete Best without the excess drama.

He’s my favorite Holmes. And love all the material you’ve been sharing, really unique stuff. Mark

I've been looking through my Hollies collection of photos and I've found these with Don in the line-up. Hope they are of interest. Thanks! I've only seen the middle one before. Amazing how many photos, and at least two film appearances, there were with Don on drums.
