A mega rare pressing of the Hollies' second release has been catalogued on 45cat.com. It's the UK promo record of "Searchin'" with "When I'm not there" as the B-side, credited to Tony Hicks. As all of you Elevated Observers may know, "Searchin" had "Whole world over" as its flip side. So this mega rare find might become a holy grail among record collectors. One can only assume, why the release with "When I'm not there" had been withdrawn. Interestingly the song, later included on the Hollies' first E.P., got then credited with "Clarke, Nash, Hicks". What puzzles me, WINT is said having been recorded in May 1964. The now discovered alternate coupling however, must have been released in August 1963. If the newly discovered record is not a fake (which I have no reason to believe), the recordings might probably differ from each other. Who asks Mr. Hicks himself to solve the mystery?

Thanks for the info Cristocello. Nice misprint. But if you read what the guy who uploaded it writes he states that the record plays Whole world over.

If you look at the matrix number for Whole World Over it is 7XCE17400. When I'm Not There has the same matrix. To Me that indicates the tracks are the same. Interesting that one 45 has May on the label above the matrix # and the other 45 just says May Music. I have a scan of the incorrect promo label from many years ago and it has Susie written on one side and on the other Susan Sanderson. That my guess is that it was Tommy Sanderson's wife or sister. I will try and upload the scan but can't seem to work it out. I remember when I first got that scan it having the wrong b side and always wondered about it without chasing after one.
