Last night I heard about a store in a neighbouring city that specializes in old and rare records. I went today and had Christmas and my birthday all rolled into one! I came out with 34 Hollies albums, of which 4 titles were doubles. What has me jumping up and down like a little kid is that I was able to get Allan's I Wasn't Born Yesterday and Legendary Heroes in vinyl!!!! The store is amazing. The guy who owns it is a real character. He has been in the business for 40 years. He has 80,000 items crammed into the store, but he knows where everything is. He has a farm and has 20,000 more records/cds in his barn. He told me I am the first person in 40 years to ask for Allan Clarke by name. Damn, that's just not right! Anyway, he thinks he has more of Allan's records at home including My Real Name is 'Arold, which I have been searching and searching for. He is going to email me a list of what he's got in the barn. He is the first person I've come across who has collected Allan's solo recordings. It has been a great day!!!! I'm not obsessed at all. Nope, not one bit.

Very pleased for you allanangel, looks like you hit the jackpot...
I remember searching high and low in the sixties to find all the original singles, which were mostly ex jukebox with the spider centre.
The one i couldn't find was searchin', and i happened to mention this to someone at my school who said 'i've got that, its awful, you can have it if you like'.
At least i didn't have to pay anything for it...

I once hit the jackpot with Allan Clarke's solo LPs and bought all of them from 1972's "My Real Name Is 'Arold" through to 1990's "Reasons To Believe" in mint, virtually unplayed condition from Parlogram Records in Austria. I paid a heavy price for them, but I'll never sell them and the vast majority of them I'd never heard so I wasn't bothered. Allan's records are very rare but not that expensive on eBay. Occasionally promos turn up for £20 or less each too.
Congratulations on your find! Upload some photos if you can

I'm not great at uploading, but I will type a list of my finds in a separate post.
