I’m still in the dark about how many times The Hollies appeared on Ready Steady Go, and what songs they did. I’m assuming they were all mimed. I realize the information is in the coffee table book that came out, but I did not purchase it. (I did buy the t-shirt though). My coffee table is already full of books on The Avengers. Emma Peel takes priority.

I think maybe the show started off mimed and switched to live? Pity there isn't a single Hollies performance surviving.

I think maybe the show started off mimed and switched to live? That's correct, though there were some who played live before the ban on miming (certainly George Fame, Rufus Thomas and Jerry Lee Lewis). Despite no RSG, The Hollies have done far better than most when it comes to surviving footage, particularly for 1968-1969!

Really incredible stuff! Is there a way to download it and watch it off-line? Got a long coach trip with no internet coming up next week!
