Hello, everybody! I'm new to the forum, and obviously a big Hollies fan, but I'm always a bit disappointed by the lack of information online about their recording sessions in comparison to some other sixties groups. I am curious about who engineered the Hollies' recordings. I've heard Bobby mention Peter Bown, and of course Alan Parsons later on, but is there a comprehensive list anywhere?

There is no actual set list as such, but quickly....
Peter Bown handled most of their Abbey Road recordings in the sixties and was still involved later in the Mike Rickfors era
a young Alan Parsons took over for a time circa 1970 - he did 'Gasoline Alley Bred' (not that brilliantly in some respects) but then of course did a much better job on the albums; 'Hollies' (1974) and 'Another Night' (1975) each time assisted by Mike Jarratt
John Punter was recording engineer for them at AIR studios for 'Distant Light' album assisted by Alan Harris, Simaen Skofield, and Alex Harding in 1971
Peter Bown was back for 'Write On' (1976) assisted by Mike Jarratt, John Etchells and Peter James
'Russian Roulette' (1976) was engineered at Basing Street studios by Rhett Davies, Phill Brown, assisted by Guy Bidmead, and Robert Ash
'A Crazy Steal' (1978) again was engineered by Rhett Davies
not all albums carried credit for the engineering duties
