I heard a commercial by Graham Nash on Facebook regarding his upcoming show here in Phoenix, AZ. I was away from my phone so I don’t know if there was a video with it or not, but it definitely was Graham urging people to buy tickets for his show.

sad when he is asking people to buy tickets for his show, saw a clip on facebook when he said he is covering his career from the Hollies to now, I bet two Hollies songs....either Bus stop King Midas or On a carousel.

He should sing Clown, Tell Me To My Face. These are great songs that he could easily do if he wanted to give The Hollies more credit in his career but instead he treats the band like a little blip in his life.

It’s a total disrespect to his time with the Hollies, you are right, hey he could even do butterfly.

For some weird reason, Nash avoids discussing the Hollies era, even when the press prefer that he talk about it. Even when, as in the recent Guardian interview, he went on about CSN and the comments in the article raved about the Hollies. He'll talk about his bestie, Allan, he'll complain about King Midas and Marrakesh Express...but other than that, all conversations are diverted to talking about CSN and their voices together. Found this interview via Twitter yesterday, and, even though I read his words in a convoluted English-into-French-back-into-English translation, it was so obvious that the journalist was an avid Hollies fan who wanted Nash to go deeper into that period, but Nash wouldn't do it. His best Hollies memory is the R&RHoF? Really? And so many of his songs from that period would stand up against his post-Hollies work (my personal favourite being "Stop Right There") but nope. Divert, divert, divert...just as he did in his autobiography...avoid discussing stuff by focusing way too much on David Crosby. Gonna start calling him "SQUIRREL!" gonzomusic.fr/graham-nash-ou-les-incroyables-confessions-de-willy-episode1.html

What I'd like to know is why is Graham incapable of mentioning Bernie Calvert by name? He only ever referred to him as the "bassist" in his book and in all the interviews I've read and seen with him he never says his name either. A bit strange as he'll mention Allan, Bobby, Tony, Eric and even Don Rathbone. He even acknowledged Jimmy Savile in his book as well as pointing out his crimes. Yet Bernie? Nothing. Yes, he'll merrily prattle on forever and a day about Crosby, Stills, Young and Joni to the degree I think we're all rather sick of it. I sure am. Sure, I don't dislike some of his CSN and solo songs but I still feel he wrote his best stuff whilst with The Hollies.
