This does sound like a load of illogical old nonsense. Surprised he didn't play on "Love Me Do" or "From Me To You"... I'm sensing a Bernard Purdie situation here as Purdie claimed for many years that he played drums on a lot of Beatles recordings!
Perhaps someone should ask Terry Sylvester as he often mentioned how much he enjoyed Allan playing the "gob iron" and I'll lay any money Terry would state it clear that Allan played harmonica on "He Ain't Heavy".

<button disabled="" class="c-attachment-insert--linked o-btn--sm">Attachment Deleted</button> And the answer is...! As if there was any doubt. I'd forgotten that Allan had donated that... though scarily can remember one of the things Bobby donated - the blouse he wore on the "Hollies Sing Hollies" cover!
