Front cover review of "Romany":
Group's growing popularity will be helped by their best LP yet. A rocking "Won't We Feel Good" has hit sound, as does beautiful "Jesus was a Crossmaker". A stunning record. Epic KE 31992.
"Romany" on UK Polydor was listed on two FM radio playlists as an import before its US release.

If only it had been released as an A side. Instead it was stuck on the B side of an edited "Slow Down".

Probably one of their best LP opening tracks ever. It's energetic and exciting. A great enthusiastic drum pattern from Bobby and a thumping bass line from Bernie. Also does a "reverse key change", whereby it modulates to a lower key instead of the usual trend of modulating up a tone or to the related major. It was a trick that Tony Hicks and Kenny lynch used in a lot of their songwriting together, though this song wasn't written by them. It's probably Tony's arrangement though.
