Just came across this cool pic on Instagram that really took me by surprise: http://instagram.com/p/BD6Q_dXvfIX Nice to see these two reunited and playing together again several years after the supposed drama that made them both leave The Hollies. 😃 Does anybody here have any info on where was and what was played at this private gig?

Great pic! Not a major surprise though, as I don't think there's ever been any bad blood between Terry and Bernie (it's hard to imagine mild-mannered Bernie falling out with anyone!).

I seem to recall having seen a photo of a ticket or flyer for this gig.
Great image, thanks for sharing!

It was at the Old Loughtonions Hockey Club in Essex on 16th October, 1987. It was billed as a "Special Reunion Concert featuring Terry Sylvester & Bernie Calvert (formally [sic] of the Hollies) plus guest musicians.
I don't know who those musicians were though. I've got three photos of it and the official poster/advert but haven't got a clue how to add them to this forum. Proboards has the WORST picture upload system of any social media platform going.

Pretty sure a live tape recording survives for this gig.

From this appearance there is also a video clip. The accompanist - An der Guitar John and on drums Martin. Unfortunately, the surnames are unknown to me. There is also an older video recording of Terrn and Bernie. The two played at a birthday party for a Hollies fan.

I did see a few familiar names from here as members on the page. Maybe one of you could try sharing the post here? (although bc that link doesn't work, you'll have to be prepared to go scrolling all the way back to that date to find it!)

Who is the original poster? That would make it easier to find...I'll take screenshots when I do find it.

If anyone wants to have a ho, I'll be happy to post the VHS to you to do. when I re find it😉

Unfortunately, I have neither the time or the equipment to do this, as much of my stuff (including my VHS player) is currently boxed up and in storage.

Hi! This picture from Terry and Bernie is taken at a private concert - I think they played around 45 minutes at a Hotel named Tradpin. This concert they played on a birthday party from a great Hollies Fan called Bab Leader. I Think it was in 1987. Also on the bill was a drummer and a lead guitarist. I don`t know the exact name of this 2 guys.

This is the set list, snaffled by me😉...They also did a couple of rock and roll bits at the end. Terry was laughing, because he said they didn't know anymore ☺️ It was obvious that they ( Terry and Bernie) thoroughly enjoyed the evening, playing music again. I think, though not 100%, that the drummer and bass player may have been from Bernie's neck of the woods....even from his church group..? They did really well. It was The Old Loughtonians hockey club clubhouse. Bob Leader arranged it. He became friends with the two especially after they left the band. Bernie went to work for Bob's company, and Terry did his stint as an estate agent in Hampstead garden suburb area at this time. Attachments:
