Delayed slightly due to this current scenario we still find ourselves in, but I have sent off the final round of layout corrections so... in theory,... the presses should be running soon. Thanks for the conitiued interest and support - it is greatly appreciated - and I hope you'll enjoy it when it does finally drop. Sadly, not everyone here is in complete agreement it appears, with some negative posts already appearing on FB ('nothing to see here') but hey ho. Can't win em all...

Well, I can't wait for it coming out. I've been a Hollies fan for well over 55 years and I bet there will be something in Malc's book that I didn't know.

Nice to have reviewed the book before reading it! Facebook Hollies fans are...erhm....interesting from a sociological point of view, to say the least.

Quick update for anyone who is wondering over the continuing non-appearance of this project, but (beyond my control) the latest hiccup was over the placement of one of the images, which was incorrect when I received my latest proofs and so, whilst all text layout is good and ready, I'm afraid it's gone back again- delaying it slightly further. Frustrated beyond belief but it's better to be happy about it all... Then, it's just down to how long it takes the warm up the printing press...

Finally, I can report that the printing presses have been switched on. Not sure if any paper has been loaded yet, but the power is defo running ! In other words, I should be collecting the first batch in approx 4 weeks time - subject to the fuse not blowing ! Details will then follow over ordering and costing… PS - final page count came in at 608 😜

Any early pre-publication review is encouraging, to say the very least...
"As the author asks in his preface, why hasn’t there been a detailed retelling of The Hollies story when there are reams and reams of published matter about their peers? A fundamental truth, and one that Searles has corrected in one fell swoop with this meticulously-researched, all-encompassing 600-page study of one of ’60s pop’s best-loved and most-respected acts. Offering deep insight and educated opinion while stitching together a detailed timeline, Riding The Carousel is unlikely to be bettered, and kept this superfan rapt while I await the expanded reissues and rarities box. Hey, I can dream, right?"
