A new interview here. The interviewer has previously interviewed Bobby. He’s a bit vacant and not particularly well researched, but Allan seems at ease with that and gives plenty of info and great anecdotes. He looks in great form and there’s some great content here:

Classy! He comes across well and always has a good word for Terry.

I was thinking it would be amazing if Allan used his social media platforms to do a monthly Q&A like this via webcam. He seems really at ease and relaxed in this setting and talks really freely. Very classy that he's particularly complementary about Terry, despite all that's been said by Mr Sylvester. I'm really excited that he's working with Graham again and even more excited that he's aiming to put out another solo album. 'Resurgence' is still a regular fixture on my turntable, it's a really enjoyable album from start to finish.

Great interview - thanks for sharing. Yes, imagine getting the opportunity to pose some PROPER questions from the collective here?! I think this is the first time I've heard Allan speak about Mikael Rickfors, too.

Was this filmed a few months back? I thought Allan and Graham's project was on hold, unless they've recently worked out a way to continue with it.

I don't think it was because he's talking about going out again with mask and gloves, doing the shopping...a few months ago in interviews he was talking about his "great neighbours" helping.

There must some unwritten rule in this universe, that current Hollies interviews will be conducted by someone whose knowledge of the group is so sketchy, as to be next to nonexistent. Particulary frustrating this time, in light of the fact that Allan seemed to be in such an open, giving mood. The questions that lay begging to be asked, never are, and what is asked is Hollies 101: boilerplate 'Introduction To Hollies'. A few interesting snippets from Allan here and there, that a halfway knowledgeable interviewer would have further persued. Tantalizing opportunity after opportunity lost, and it's particularly heartbreaking, considering time is quickly running out on our aging favourites.

Perhaps that's true, but I can't see anyone, of any age, sitting through that disaster of an interview. What is apparent from the start is that the interviewer is ill-prepared and totally uninformed re The Hollies. I have grandsons who are heavily into music, and roughly the same age as that interviewer. I doubt they'd last 5 minutes listening to his fumbling, inept ways. Makes me wonder if there ever was a 'target audience'. Outside of our small band of incurable Hollies fanatics, I can't see anyone suffering through that mess!

Going for the hardcore music lover would only disappoint and the casual listener wouldn't tune in in the first place. I guess that's what happens when privilege wins out over qualifications...and when it comes to the arts and media, that happens too often nowadays. Wouldn't "An audience with Allan Clarke" be an awesome idea after all this is pandemic stuff is over? Or some sort of interview with studio audience participation? That would be ideal really.

I think "An Audience with Allan Clarke" would be a fabulous idea. He could do a two-hour special (perhaps online on his YouTube channel or Pay Per View) and talk about his life in amongst performing some new tracks from 'Resurgence' and maybe dust off some oldies with new arrangements. Very much like the old VH1 Presents concerts. The David Bowie one was absolutely amazing, and his anecdotal stories were every bit as good as the music.
