Yes, I uncovered some additional info during research for an upcoming project. More details to follow soon

I think I read many years ago that Pygmalia was where The Hollies got their lace shirts that they wore on the cover of Hollies Sing Hollies, and maybe the rest of the outfit too.

No surprise it closed down! You know, if maybe just one of them wore the shirt, I would think it's cool...but as a uniform for the whole band? A bit too much for me...

EVERYTHING about that album cover was so "wrong". 51 years later, it's still probably the most cringeful album cover of that era. Terry was having a crap hair day, Bobby looks too self conscious in what must be one of the first airings of his new hair... and then there's Allan and his unfortunate positioning of his left arm. Little wonder the album stiffed and that on the next one opted for a simpler cover which is widely believed to be their worst but for my money...

One of the few redeeming factors being that Allan for once isn't giving us the death glare...

Unpopular opinion, but I don't hate this album cover. It's very of its era, just like 'Evolution'. The structured "pop band image" was very much a thing by 1969 as the chasm between pop records and "serious" music widened. The Hollies weren't sure where to land, artistically or visually. I think the bigger sin is the hand-crafted band image on the centre fold. What a waste of a gatefold sleeve!
A bit of trivia for you; this was released in 1969 on the yellow and black Parlophone label, but was reissued in 1970 on the change of the new 'One Box' EMI black and silver label. A small amount of these re-pressings published the cover on the same textured paper as 'Confessions of the Mind', but they're rare to find.
