Don't know if we have any closet Genesis fans who may know more? This claims that Genesis considered Allan at one point? read in "Inside Genesis 1970-1980 The definitive critical review" DVD booklet that it all was an idea of Bill Bruford. He suggested that he'd play the drums at live shows while Phil sings. Some famous names is also mentioned as appearing at the auditions for PGs succesor: Allan Clarke (The Hollies), Mike D'Abo, Mick Rogers (Mannfred Mann's Earth Band), Paul Jones, Jess Roden, Andy Fraser, Nick Lowe, david Bundas etc etc... ...... someone is probably going to post me to an old thread...if so , sorry!!! I hadn't heard this before, and was amazed! 😊 Attachments:

I'll pass this on to a mate who is a big Genesis fan and see if he has any insight. I'm a big fan of MMEB, and seem to recall hearing about the Mick Rogers connection. Sorry, Clarke, Jones or D'Abo in Genesis? The mind boggles!
