Anyone ever seen this performance by Graham Nash and the Contemporary Youth Orchestra (from Cleveland)? Ooh, eerrrr.... ? Think the Hollies would have been crucified for doing this😂😂A bit weird, this trend to orchestrate everything..? ... I'm out, I'm afraid!😉 ..maybe Say it ain't do, or I'm down ,which were able to carry orchestras, but even then ,hard to top originals there😉

One of those moments that put a lump in my throat. They're all kids, so I think it's a lovely thing...I also like the idea of passing down the music to the next generation. The BBC Orchestra...that's something else altogether.

I hadn't seen this before. I skipped Graham's waffly intro as have heard him tell that story enough times. I managed to get to the first chorus when the "choir" joined in. Toe-curling to my ears. The orchestral arrangement is as ghastly as those senseless "Classical Rock" albums that came out in the late 70's into the 80's. Transposing simple pop songs to that larger format just never works for me.
The version Crosby did with Nash and special guest Allan Clarke at the Royal Albert Hall... now THERE was a great heartwarming performance!
