Sounds good, but have a family event that evening. Due to be seeing The H the next night in Darlington. In all honesty, given the current situation, I don't think such events will be going ahead.

Hard to say, being it in November. Wouldn't jump to get tickets at this point for sure. If it does, hope to convince The Dude and Spev to arrange a mini reunion there, since it's been 17 years since they met (along with Peeji and Helen) when the Hollies played in Sunderland! Where does the time go?

I've got tickets for Cambridge in October which I bought back in January! Like you, James, I have my doubts that the Autumn tour will go ahead.

Where does the time go? If it's the 7th it would almost be exactly 17 years ago. The Hollies played Sunderland on November 8th 2003....

I think it's inevitable. I was due to see Nick Mason from Pink Floyd this month, but it was cancelled and rescheduled to October; I thought at the time, that was risky. If I were an artist, I wouldn't be rescheduling before spring next year. The problem comes now in having to make a decision to accept a rescheduled date. I was due to see Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull, which has been rescheduled to some time in October 2021 - it might end up clashing with another gig I'd like to go to much more. Anyway, my 'problem' is nothing compared with what the industry is facing. I've enjoyed a few live streamed performances lately, sometimes just from the artist's kitchen, living room or garden. I think there could be some mileage in that.

I was due to see Fairport Convention in June, but that has been postponed until September (still can't see it happening). The spring tour with Mike Pender and co though has been rescheduled for a full year later.

You'll be in for a treat when you see Fairport, Peter - they were superb when I caught them in early February.

We saw them in February too (3rd year in a row we've seen them in Canterbury at the start of the year), and they were really great. Met them all afterwards and got them to sign their new CD, all easy-going and friendly chaps. They were going to do a one-off show in Broadstairs, and this is the show that is rescheduled.

Right. Okay. You win. Meh.
It's being livestreamed...for a price.
