And the single's proceeds are for charity.: NHS Charities together with Covid-19 Urgent Appeal. Fabulous.

It just gets better, he's done an actual music video for it! This is excellent. Gotta say - as nobody else has yet - I really like Francis's accompaniment and overall for me, this tugs at the heartstrings more potently. And isn't Allan looking GREAT? Seriously - he's aged very well and sure doesn't look his age here!

Was there a point to posting this to the 'official' Hollies YouTube channel only an hour ago? Proceeds are not going to charity, btw. And, no, I'm not linking it. But I find the timing weird.

Yes, interesting timing. Lisa Davies is the manager of Michael Armstrong who I saw support Peter Howarth at a solo gig. Lisa Davies Promotions is who is handling Allan Clarke's PR. An interesting link there, too!

But I find the timing weird. Hmmm... just looked at the official website and in spite of it getting a makeover (removing the lyrics and recording session data) there's still zero mention or acknowledgement of Allan's return. A pity.

Ah, show business. You'd think, considering it's for charity, they'd at least be, erm, charitable?

I believe Peters version was only put out because during a q and a with him, someone asked for him to sing it. He didnt have the equipment to do that so his previous rendition was used

Maybe someone can suggest via the official message board that they link to Allan's charity single (I'd do so myself but I was banned in 2006!).

(I'd do so myself but I was banned in 2006!). Part of the same gang who got banned because I was a little "honest" about a new album... If they're not gonna give Allan a nod, then what's stopping them from doing something charitable themselves?

I think I showed myself the door in 2005 before I could get banned. But being real life friends with Bruciebaby and Helen MacDonald at that time was only postponing the inevitable.

And I never got accepted in the first place! I thought that mention of ex-Hollies' whereabouts was strictly forbidden in official current Hollies circles, hence 'Carousel' winding down to nothing when there was, well, nothing new to write about...
This YouTube business has got to stop too. It looks very unprofessional. The quality of nearly all the clips is absolutely woeful. A big company like the Hollies Ltd should be able to properly license their own clips in perfect quality on their own YouTube channel.

Appears that the computer age is a bit of a challenge to some of the boys. Terry posted this tweet today that made me chuckle, because The Official Hollies Twitter™ page just announced yesterday that the US tour was cancelled. (but still have the "Tickets on Sale!" tweet still pinned to the top. If only they knew someone from their past with some sort of computer expertise they could learn from...YouTube...Garageband...thinkthinkthink...

For once Terry Sylvester is on the money... most of the venues told their ticket holders two or three weeks at least before the Hollies officially confirmed it. But likewise, most of the tickets sold before the Hollies officially confirmed it in the first place as the fans heard the rumour on the grapevine and worked out the venues for themselves.

Does anyone know who is running that youtube channel? My money is on the same person who runs the official website/message board.

I would like to know who runs the main Facebook page personally. Doubt it's official. They maintain an appropriately balanced newsfeed. Including acknowledging Allan and Francis's recording. www.facebook.com/theholliesuk

So I tagged DJ Lara in a tweet of "Would You Believe". She loved it. I've done my good deed for the day.

But I find the timing weird. I saw on Facebook somewhere that this has been promoted on Christian Radio! Can’t believe Allan comes out with a new recording of it for charity and the same week the Hollies (Official) seem to be pushing a solo Peter Howarth version of it... I guess Tony really hasn’t forgiven Allan for saying that he wasn’t an original Hollie on that interview last year!
