This is info direct from Mr Clarke himself:
===================
I have a single release on the 12th July and the album on the 20th Sept. The album title is RESURGENCE - first single is Journey Of Regret. It’s with BMG world wide - there is going to be a press release soon so look out for things to happen.
Allan.
===================
This is really wonderful news for all fans of The Hollies and Allan Clarke. Signing on with BMG is no mean feat. And with a title of 'Journey Of Regret', this certainly suggests some autobiographical lyrical musings.
As this may be a scoop, many, many thanks to Allan for forwarding this on to start the anticipation of a new album by one of the most distinctive voices in popular music. He may not have THAT voice anymore - I have not heard a single second of any of the tracks I should add - but it gladdens the heart that the musical mojo has returned.
As I've said previously, no matter what the results of this forthcoming disc, I await with great anticipation the imminent release of 'Resurgence', Clarke's 8th solo album (I'm merging The Only One and Legendary Heroes as one, given the matching tracklists!) and his first LP in 29 years!
Under a month then until the first new sounds are heard!
cheers Simon

Glad to hear it finally comes out. I was more or less waiting for that since I became a Hollies fan sometime in the early 2000s.

Biggest Hollies news in years! Allan's solo work has been pretty consistent so I'm really looking forward to this.

Hi Simon! Thanks for this great news. But we will certainly get another ALLAN CLARKE there than at Hollies times. I am sure about that. His voice does not work as it used to. So let's surprise ourselves. In addition, a single release - The new songs must be good, otherwise the new record company would not perform a single release.

As random examples, Paul McCartney, Brian Wilson and Robert Plant also no longer have the voices that they once had, but still release interesting (and popular) albums. I'm sure Allan will sound fine... as long as we don't compare him to 50 years ago.

Hi Anthony! I have the same opinion. Allan recently gave a tribute to Graham Nash. His voice has not changed. So we get surprised what Allan delivers to us. Also conceivable would be song material from earlier days. Nevertheless, I am looking forward to it.

Hey, are we sure that there will be a Single release at the end of the week? I mean, there is really nothing happening at all. No press, no Video, Interviews etc. It‘s hard enough anyway but so (nearly) nobody will know or care I think.

I'm thinking they possibly might start promoting it after its release. Allan has an official Facebook page run for him at this link (https://m.facebook.com/allanclarkeofficial) based around the re-releases of his previous solo work that unfortunately I can't access atm (maybe he's doing it up in preparation for this new album), but I don't recall seeing anything on there about it when I could access it.
I really do hope we get Journey Of Regret on the 12th. I'm pumped! 😁

I’m glad I was proved wrong - ITS HERE!! The new single, “Journey of Regret” and pre-order links for the album with artwork and track listing. His Facebook page is active again and full of content. The new song is quite emotional - mainly I guess because it’s so fantastic to hear his voice again after so long www.allan-clarke.co.uk/
