I've been going to 60s clubs to dance and occasionally DJ, and I've heard several covers of "You know he did".

I would query "Carrie Anne recorded by Peter Lee Stirling Aka Daniel Boone" as I believe the song he did was 'Carrie Lee' which is a different song entirely (unless I'm mistaken?) cheers Simon

Just got hold of Jeff Philip's Yesterday's Hero. Produced by Allan Clarke, single out 1975. This one has not been mentioned here?

Yes, Yesterday´s Hero is an Allan Clarke production. And here's some more Allan Clarke produced records:
Warm Sensation recorded The Clown and I´ll Be Proud Of You The Society recorded Bird Has Flown Lee Kings recorded Coming From The Ground (produced by Nash and Clarke) Jeff B Clark recorded Roll Your Down (produced together with Ray Glynn and Rod Turner) The Mirage recorded Go Away (produced by Nash and Clarke) Gary Walker recorded Hello How Are You/ Fran
There must be more produced by Allan Clarke!!

Not sure if it's been mentioned but Lyn Paul formerly of The New Seekers recorded a solo version of 'Give Me Time' (the track on 'Another Night') on one of her solo albums
I recall Lyn in an interview talking about how lovely she thought the song was and she asked; 'whatever became of The Hollies, they were so good ?"

Give me time had single potential. I just have never been hot on Sandy. I still say Time Machine Jive was the hit on Another Night. A DJ I know, when I played it in a club, thought it was glam rock. Exactly why it should have been a single. They were stretching out musically, the way they did with Long Cool Woman.

There's a video on Youtube of The Robbs doing Look Through Any Window on Dick Clark's Where the action is. I don't think it was commercially released.

Speaking of Look Through Any Window, the Barron Knights included a parody of that song on their 1965 Christmas hit, Merry Gentle Pops.

Just found that Percy Sledge recorded Lonely Lobo Lullaby (written by Clarke and Sylvester) on his album Shining Through The Rain. Maybe Rickfors gave the idea, as he was quite involved in The Percy Sledge-album from 2004.

The Hollies and The Beach Boys are my two favourite vocal harmony groups. I guess these count as connections they have had:
- There is a picture and newspaper article on Terry Sylvester's website where he is with Mike and Bruce after The Beach Boys played a show at The Cavern Club in Liverpool in 2006. The newspaper article mentioned Terry had been friends with them since they met on a 1965 UK tour.
- Both The Hollies and The Beach Boys have recorded covers of Bob Dylan's "Blowin' In The Wind" and "The Times They Are A-Changin'".
- Both The Hollies and The Beach Boys scored their last #1 hits in 1988 (the re-release of "He Ain't Heavy" in the UK and "Kokomo" in the US) after a number of years without one.
- The Beach Boys sing backing vocals on Julio Iglesias' 1984 cover of "The Air That I Breathe".
- The Beach Boys were one of the acts that opened for CSNY on their 1974 tour.
I'm sure there are some more real surprising links between the two groups but I can't seem to think of any more off the top of my head.

They were both influenced by/admired The Everly Brothers. They both continue with just one original + one near-original member.

The Hollies and The Beach Boys were on the same bill for two shows in Chattanooga, Ten, on 2 March 1968 - this was the day after The Hollies gave a concert on the USS Independence Aircraft Carrier in harbor at Virginia Beach which had just returned from service in Vietnam

Many years ago Record Collector Magazine featured a Kenny Lynch discography,if my memory serves me well it omitted the 1973 Atlantic single We Can Be Friends/You'll Be On Your Own Tonight. I suspect the single was withdrawn,or a rare European only release. Both titles were credited to Lynch/Hicks. I was lucky enough to pick up a copy of this rare single In a Glasgow record market back in the day how it ended up there i'll never know. For those of you who haven't heard it... To my mind the A side is a rather dreary ballad however the B side is excellent from my point of view,it's a jaunty catchy rocker which sounds like the Hollies ( great harmonies ) with Kenny Lynch on lead vocals.

Another interesting and obscure album which covers a Hollies song is The Growing Concern's self-titled album from 1968, which leads off with a great cover of Hard Hard Year.

Think I thought of a couple not mentioned (did a search first; not sure how good it is!):
Four Jacks and a Jill ("Master Jack") covered "Fifi The Flea"
The Guess Who covered "You Know He Did"
