Hi Simon The gig was in March 1967 at the Granada Theatre in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire (my then home town) and it was the first concert of the package tour with The Hollies, Spencer Davis Group, Paul Jones, The Tremeloes and others. I've still got the ticket and programme somewhere. I remember the ticket cost me 10 shillings (50 pence) back then! I can't remember the full set list but they included their latest single On A Carousel, and a medley of some earlier hits. I'm almost certain Bob Dylan's 'Like A Rolling Stone' was included as well. The Hollies topped the bill and their set was only about 30 minutes or so from memory because there were so many other acts on the bill. I had always liked the Hollies' music but was completely hooked after that show and have followed them ever since for almost 50 years. I don't know if you recall but I met you at the Sentrum Scene in Oslo about 7 years ago. That must have been a fun show to see John!

It was a truly special night for me personally, meeting many online Hollies fans from across the world in the flesh, in Oslo of all places. I recall well several Hollies fans, far more in the know than I about the current Hollies, that the 2010 Sentrum Oslo gig was the best Hollies performance in a number of years, where Hicks really pulled it out and the whole vibe was rather amazing. Along with Knut, Gee and others here, I admire your 50+ year devotion to the band. I'm 25 years behind you guys! Cheers and hope all is well. Simon

Like A Rolling Stone would be great to hear live from this period. I wonder if it was ever bootleged. Are they known to have done this one elsewhere?

They did do other Bob Dylan songs besides, I recall hearing them sing; 'Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You' years ago (possibly on a radio show), and I know another longtime Hollies fan lady who says she too remembers hearing that
I believe they did 'You Ain't Going' Nowhere' live as well
