First time I've ever heard anything by them.
Certainly different from The Hollies. Vocalist sounds like a cross between Long John Baldry and Chris Farlowe, with backing by Cliff Bennett and The Rebel Rousers!
Has anyone here heard their other stuff?

I have one Rockhouse 45. It is certainly different from the Hollies and maybe that was the direction Eric wanted the Hollies to go. Time has shown who was right.

I assure that is Eric Haydock on the right (as you look at it)?

Given Haydock's nimble bass playing, you'd have thought he'd easily have slotted in to another band and had success after the Hollies. Odd.

I believe he wasn't allowed to use "The Hollies" name in any of his promotion, and as he wasn't well known in his own right (unlike Bill Wyman and John Entwistle for example) this was just another struggling band. Although I've only heard this one song (& would like to hear more), I've heard far better British Soul-R&B from this period.

That certainly doesn't look like Eric Haydock to me.

I'm very sorry. I was trying to do too many things at once and misspoke. No, the man on the right, in the photo, isn't Eric, but it was the group he was in.

That link to Eric's Dog band page states that Haydock opened a music store - anyone know which one?

That link to Eric's Dog band page states that Haydock opened a music store - anyone know which one? It may have been The Rhythm House in Stockport but I'm not certain.
