My memory seems to be letting me down. Can anyone tell me what CD I will find this track? It was the 3rd track on a 12" single from late 80's.
Thanks

I think the single is Too Many Hearts Get Broken with This is It and You're All Woman. I can't find a CD with You're All Woman on it in my collection although the first two tracks appear on a few CDs.

Same issue here. Can't locate it in my collection and can't seem to see where it was released on a CD. Thought I would throw it out to our friends hoping someone knew.

You're All Woman was the b-side of Too Many Hearts Get Broken back in '85. This Is It was backed by You Gave Me Strength in '87. As far as I am aware, neither flipside has appeared on any CD.

'You gave me strength' great track, very much an Allan Clarke solo is on the rock-in-beat Hollies rarities volume 2 (RB008)

Oh yes Tony - good point. Though it should be said, that Rock In Beat set of Hollies releases were dodgy - semi-legit (or maybe not legit at all) German releases. I can remember at the 2000? 2001? Eastbourne Carousel Fan Convention that Ulli Eichblatt - former head of the German Fan Club who had legitimately licensed tracks for the limited edition Coconut Collection CD - was telling me how furious he was that these CDs were appearing without the correct licensing etc. Chances are then that You Gave Me Strength et al were sourced from vinyl copies, not taken from Hollies-supplied masters.

Having said that, I avidly snapped up the Rickfors Years and What Goes Around discs as I think this was the first time many of the tracks had appeared on CD. But yes, sounded like copies from vinyl or even cassette.

I thought I was trying to find about You're All Woman. Yeah it was release on the Too Many Hearts Get Broken 7 and 12 and was also on the 12 of This Is It with You Gave Me Strength. Rock n Beat did issue You Gave me Strength on their Rarities Vol 2 (1972-1993) 1999 CD. They would have used CD and Vinyl as the source for that CD, Like I said in the Changin' Times post they were a bootleg label no doubt in my mind. That said I think I have 5 of their Hollies CDs.

Picking up on this:
'You're All Woman' is one of the now quite rare latter Clarke era Hollies songs that really need gathering together on an 'official' CD set along with: 'You Gave Me Strength', 'Your Eyes', 'Naomi', 'Two Shadows', Purple Rain' (studio version), 'Hillsborough' (sung by Tony Hicks), 'For What It's Worth (I'm Sorry)' - which was Clarke & Denis Haines in truth !
- plus songs which have been featured on various CD sets such as; 'No Rules', 'Laughter Turns To Tears', 'Nothing Else But Love', 'Stand By Me', 'Shine Silently' (12 inch extended version with acapella intro), 'Baby Come Back', and singles; 'Too Many Hearts Get Broken', 'This is it', 'Reunion of The Heart', 'Find Me A Family' & 'The Woman I Love', with maybe 'Carrie' (with John Miles), 'Take My Love And Run' (original single version with Brian Chatton) & the rare Hollies instrumental 'Driver'
Released in Germany (on Coconut records I think it was) there was also an instrumental version of 'Find Me A Family' I understand - probably the backing track with maybe some added instrumentation plus a 'disco' take on 'Long Cool Woman' (which I'd prefer NOT to hear !)
however by adding in a few latter era 'Live' cuts; 'Blowin' In The Wind', 'Write On' (Mainz, Germany circa 1982) a live version of 'Another Night' (from 1991 I believe, featuring Alan Coates on high harmony vocal and electric piano instead of synth' issued by EMI Germany on 'The Air That I Breathe' CD single) & the Harrogate Int Centre Live version of 'Purple Rain' a decent Latter 1981 - 1993 Clarke era Hollies set could be compiled from these
- thats 27 tracks (forgetting the disco LCW !) plus 'Peggy Sue Got Married' featuring Buddy Holly & Graham Nash making at least a grand total of 28 tracks
Also the decent Radio Clyde recorded concert from The Magnum Centre Irvine, Scotland show featuring Clarke-Hicks-Coates has rare live versions of both; 'Too Many Hearts Get Broken' & 'Gasoline Alley Bred' too.
While I understand there are bootleg 'Live' versions of 'A Whiter Shade of Pale' & 'Johnny B.Goode' sung by Clarke-Hicks-Coates in circulation that given a proper studio mix could be used....
Hopefully in the event of 'Changin Times' selling well enough for Warners to want a third such set we might get next the Polydor years of Clarke-Hicks-Sylvester....
...and just maybe next there would be enough material for a FOURTH set (?) from 1979-80 onwards through the final Syvester era recordings up to 1980, then the 'Nash reunion' (WEA Recordings now available for inclusion) and on to the inclusion of these latter final Clarke era 27 or so recordings up to 'The Woman I Love' (?) - which was very much the 'lost era' of Hollies studio & live tracks, so it would be great to see that 'missing piece' of their recording history finally properly assembled into chronological order and all duly remastered on a CD compilation - yes ?
note Rock-in-Beat did a couple of versions of OOTR and the first in a 'green' rimmed CD cover was actually a pretty clear & well mastered version (better than the second such version)
also their first version of 'What Goes Around...' of course had as a 'bonus track' the rare unissued Clarke-Hicks song; 'I Don't Understand You' from May 1981 - I think it was the second 'Sylvester version' - it sounded more like Terry not Labi Siffre on high harmony vocal - featuring Shadows sidemen Alan Jones on bass & Cliff Hall on keyboards & Produced by Bruce Welch during rather strained recording sessions at Shads drummer Brian Bennett's home studio where nothing from the three versions of that song they cut was ever officially released - this recording sessions tensions immediately preceeded both Terry and Bernie's exits from the band and I believe were a contributing factor....
- this 'unofficial' track was later dropped from the CD version for legal reasons I understand (all those 'Rock-in-Beat' CDs were not strictly legal anyway ! and they could tend to become unplayable after a time too...)
