I just purchased a Herman's Hermits 50th Anniversary Anthology issued by Bear Family in German and produced by Ron Furmanek. It contains 2 stereo tracks that Herman and the Hermits demoed for Ron Richards. The tracks are Only One Night and Thinkin' Of You. To quote the notes in the magical 140 page booklet "In March 1964, Herman and The Hermits (as they were then known) travelled down to London to record with producer Ron Richards. Perhaps it was his work with another Manchester group, the Hollies, that had led them to his door. But the results heard here for the very fist time, also led them out the same one they came in through." They went to Mickie Most and the rest is History. This Hermits compilation is 66 tracks and all in stereo with 56 of the tracks first time in STEREO. Ron has excelled himself again with this set and this is the best multi tracks compilation he has done since The Hollies 30th Anniversary set.
