Some UK album covers have been issued in alternate form in different countries around the world. Some have different covers, some different track lisings and some have a combination of both.
In the US they did just that in the early days with different tracks and sleeves. Canada did this as well. I think this would be a great place to discuss this.
One of my favourites is Butterfly. This was issued in Germany with what I think is by far the best cover for this album. The LP also had a two differents mixes of Elevated Observations joined as though one track and a slightly different mix of Pegasus as well with the horse sounds on the end of the track missing. The Australian World Record Club had two different coloured versions of the UK version. I think one was blue and the other was yellow. I will have to check.
I also like the US Beat Group LP that is a mix of tracks from different albums. A not too well know fact is that Beat Group came out with 2 different sleeves, yes that is true 2 different covers although both were almost identical with only the word Beat Group missing from the cover. I can't remember the order of release but I think the minus version was first.
There are many many more so let's get some conversation going about our thoughts on different sleeves.

I'd say out of all the Hollies' albums, Butterfly has the most cover and mix variants. The USA hash up "Dear Eloise/King Midas In Reverse" shares no mix with any other release - from simply just adding echo to it to missing sound effects and great speed variations on the tracks. Other than that, the German Hansa version has a couple of alternative mixes as you've already mentioned.
The Japanese issue uses the UK cover but the 'HOLLIES' text on the front is coloured in psychedelic covers. South Africa re-named the LP "Dear Eloise" and used a late 1966 shot for the cover. There was an early variant when I think (but only from memory) Step Inside and Wishyouawish switch places in the running order. Curiously, the UK cover was also issued there with the UK track list. Totally agree that the Hansa cover is the best; I have my spare copy in a frame on the wall!
