Worth picking up , this Hollies vintage late sixties 'Live' concert CD on the 'Immortal' label (IMA 105024) consists of the TV soundtrack recording of the Golders Green Hippodrome February 1969 concert BBC TV originally screened in May 1969 that was repeated in b/w a few years back on BBC Four digital channel
This mono recording has a pretty decent clear sound with decent vocal mix and features all 11 tracks performed on TV, including the rare non EMI concert song; 'Maybe I'll Settle Down' (billed as simply; 'Settle Down') plus 'Sylvester' line up versions of 'A Taste of Honey' and 'Stewball'
full tracks are:
Carrie Anne
Just Like A Woman
'Hits Medley' (Just One Look/Bus Stop/On A Carousel/Sorry Suzanne)
Quit Your Lowdown Ways
I'll Be Your Baby Tonight
Settle Down ('Maybe I'll Settle Down')
Stop Stop Stop
A Taste of Honey
Stewball
The Mighty Quinn
Blowin in The Wind
The Latter four tracks feature orchestra conducted and arranged by Arthur Greenslade (if I remember correctly)
interesting the credits put Terry Sylvester second after Allan Clarke, then Tony Hicks, Bernie Calvert & Bobby Elliott - so clearly NOT a 'Hollies Limited' release as they now apparently list Terry FOURTH after Tony and Bobby...!
nice b/w cover photo of the 'Hollies Greatest Vol 2' cover pic but closer up and in untinged b/w, with a prominent large concert photo of Terry Sylvester (with Bernie behind him) on the inner CD foldout, plus a close up of Clarkey with harmonica too - back covers are b/w photos of each plus the band in full in the 1969 concert.
I got mine for about seven pounds with postage from Amazon UK so well worth grabbing at that price.
