Thanks for bringing attention to these. Not seen them before. That guy's posted quite a few interesting oddities... loved the Neil McArthur and Equals promo films which are in immaculate quality whilst these clips of Allan look like VHS dubs judging from the picture lines/damage that occasionally pops up.

Loving the 'coastal Clarke' vibe! Terrific videos from a great album, far better than what The Hollies were recording at the time.

God, what a horrific choice of setting in I Wasn't Born Yesterday given Allan's then already quite receded hairline! Making it clear he wasn't born yesterday at least, haha. Those two songs are absolutely smashing - I'm Betting My Life On You somehow even manages to overcome the "boring Hollies ballad" curse of the late 70s. I understand that album got a fair bit of chart action - can anyone post the singles/album chart performance(s)? Even better still, where do I find a CD?!

(Nothing against the videos, mind you, both much more interesting than the lame promos the band was doing at the time, but I do think that car scene was a particularly bad choice)

Here are some numbers I posted elsewhere, for these singles in the US:
--The Passenger, 1978, #110 on Cashbox
--Shadow in the Street, 1978, #39 on Record World, #41 on Billboard, #47 on Cashbox
--I Wasn't Born Yesterday, 1978, #114 on Record World
--Slipstream, 1980, #70 on Billboard, #76 on Record World, #87 on Cashbox
