I'm not sure if this news has permeated through other Hollies social media news sites but Graham Nash has informed me that former Hollies manager Mike Cohen passed away 8 months ago. Nash and Cohen had remained in contact through all the decades dating back to the early 1960s when Nash worked in Cohen's clothing business 'The Toggery' (Mersey Square, Stockport), one that continued right through to the present day. Depending upon which reports you read, Cohen was The Hollies' "manager" from 1963-1967/68 before some alleged financial improprieties brought his tenure with the band to a close, leading to Robin Britten moving into the role in 1968. I managed to obtain a brief phone interview with Mr Cohen many years ago (January 2006). Here's more info on Cohen's life and times in the rag trade, though little about his time "managing" The Hollies, which remains a source of some confusion. tintrunk.blogspot.com/2010/08/toggery-stockports-rocknroll-tailor.htmlCondolences to his family, late though this information is of his passing. At present, I have no specifics of his age/dates etc. Simon
