I suggested this kind of book to someone in the Hollies' circle some years ago but it was kind of brushed off. I'd love to take it on and interview the band individually about their music. It's interesting how songs can spark memories for them of certain events or funny anecdotes. It would be a fascinating book - no drama, no fighting, just all about the music and their time in the studio and on the road.

The Moody Blues title in this series arrived the other day; looks good.

As much of a Roy Wood/Move fan as a Hollies fan, this book was announced sometime late last year, with a release date set for January/February. Now it's September and it's still not out with a date set for October! I highly doubt this book is even finished or close to publication - with that in mind it would only be the same fate as many Hollies happenings where we get details and suddenly nothing happens. I was just thinking of a possible Hollies book co-authored by the collective knowledge on here which would be fab, but to avoid becoming just like every other Hollies project maybe we should make our own path instead of becoming whatever company who puts that one out is! I hold out hope we get some nice books of this sort documenting both the Hollies and Roy... certainly a biography of Carl Wayne would be a fitting link

FYI, this "On Track... every album, every song" book series has already released 11 titles on major artists, by various authors, during 2018-19. There are 13 more in the pipeline for later this year and into next. Just do a search on Amazon UK & US and they'll pop up. And they are getting relatively good reviews, most around 4.5 out of 5 stars. Most are either 144 or 160 pages.
