Not everyone's cuppa tea, but I think this sounds great, better than some of the Hollies old hits at their shows.

Ok its not Allan but their was only one Allan, Peter Howarth does a fantastic job, The audiences seem to be happy and that's what going to concerts are all about.

I suspect Anthony that some 'fans' are miffed as Hell that Peter Howarth has sucessfully fronted The Hollies as a touring band besides recording two studio albums and a double length Live album since circa August 2004 - some FIFTEEN years this coming August
Some 'fans' really hate that fact and thus continue to make unkind personal 'digs' at Peter Howarth year after year after year....
all to no avail of course as the wider international general public have long accepted Peter Howarth and like him singing with the band
and boy that must really get up the noses of some 'fans' so much....!

In fact The Hollies are bigger in Germany, Holland and Norway these days than in the 90's. In 1986 Oslo Concert hall was 2/3 full. Since 2010 we have had 7 sold out shows in Oslo - every 1.5 years.

Hi Gee, the thing that amazes me is some of the people on this site can not just say they are not keen on Peter Howarth or they don't like his style, its like a real hatred and this guy has destroyed the Hollies and any one who likes him isn't a true Hollies fan. Lets be honest through the years its not the diehard fans that make then the money and keep the band going, its the general appeal to the wider public. They buy the records, Plus as far as I know and Simon can correct me this is a Hollies site, not stipulated that its only for the time Allan and Rickfors were in the band. At one stage I thought of just leaving this site as it can be really negative to Howarth supporters, then I thought stuff them thus these great clips of the Hollies. Last bit of the rant, I just don't want to talk about things that happened in the band back 40, 50 years ago, that's all antient history, I want to talk about these days without little smart ass remarks. Thought it was about respecting others views, well not always the case.

I remember the last time in 1987 I felt embarrassed as the venue was half empty. Now they are touring to sell out shows in Australia and have for their last 4 or 5 tours. This band must be doing something right.

Hi Knut, I took this footage, it was the night we met in Liverpool back in 2013, all went to the pub after the show, It was a real night of stars off and on stage.

I think the success of The H in Oslo these days is in a large part due to the local promoter there and his passion for the band - wouldn't you say Knut?

There is a rumour that the Oslo promoter is a bit dedicated, yes.
