with the official website forum apparently only bothered about future tours by the current band I find myself wondering....
1) What is the current situation re the back catalogue project that Ron Furmanek was apparently doing...?
2) what is the current situation re Bobby Elliott's finished book on The Hollies story...?
3) What is the latest re Allan Clarke's new solo album...?
anybody heard anything ?

Over the years it's always been the same re Hollies stuff.... Seem to go backwards before they go forward......we should be used to it by now... Re Allans new cd, wonder if he has any management to organise any publicity, tv interviews etc...? Graham managed to get loads of exposure with 'This path tonight'....

1) All we know is what's in the 2018 tour book. Nothing further has been commented on by the Hollies themselves or Ron Furmanek but it must be official if the Hollies themselves have endorsed it in their own tour book. Generally, the Hollies don't have any kind of PR trail when a new release comes along. Sometimes they're not so much as even mentioned on their official website (no word of the upcoming 20 Golden Greats reissue on vinyl, which should be a good seller I hope), so I wouldn't be surprised if we only hear about it a couple of months before this proposed Rarities collection comes along. My own two cents about this are that Universal probably won't let them issue every single thing that's in their tape archive in a double compilation because they'll want to save something new for future reissues. Generally this is how things work in the record industry, sadly. But I really hope I'm proved wrong there and the compilations get released.
2) Bobby's book is finished according to him, he's just looking for a publisher and negotiating contracts when I last heard.
3) Allan's album is nearly finished or at least in the mixing stage. No word of a label/distributor yet.
