You're a star, Peter. We'll enjoy watching that. We attended the final Christmas show in Hull last year, which, although pleasant enough, wasn't a patch on the penultimate show we saw in Barrow-in-Furness.

90s band Smashing Pumpkins opened some of their shows with an inspired "Everybody Come Clap Your Hands", one of the great covers The Searchers did. That one had new member Frank Allen on lead vocal. It should have been a single.

It should have been a single. Not a patch on the original by Moody and The Deltas. I like The Searchers a lot, but when they covered raw rhythm 'n' blues the results were often insipid.
